We're singing

...so you might as well sing along too. It's Miguel's new piano piece:

Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee,
God of glory, Lord of love;
Hearts unfold like flow'rs before Thee,
op'ning to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness;
drive the dark of doubt away.
Giver of immortal gladness,
fill us with the light of day!

All Thy works with joy surround Thee,
earth and heaven reflect Thy rays,
Stars and angels sing around Thee,
center of unbroken praise.
Field and forest, vale and mountain,
flow'ry meadow, flashing sea,
Chanting bird and flowing fountain
call us to rejoice in Thee.

Thou art giving and forgiving,
ever blessing, ever blessed,
Wellspring of the joy of living,
ocean depth of happy rest!
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother,
all who live in love are Thine;
Teach us how to love each other,
lift us to the joy divine.

Mortals, join the mighty chorus,
which the morning stars began;
Love divine is reigning o’er us,
binding all within its span.
Ever singing, march we onward,
victors in the midst of strife;
Joyful music leads us sunward
in the triumph song of life.

He's already memorized the piece and can play it very well too. And he sings the song at the piano, at the dining table, in the car, while brushing his teeth, and before going to bed at night. Isn't that cute? It's been going on for more than 2 weeks now.

You gotta hear it.

cant wait.

has he seen sister act? he might like the song even more because of whoopi.

if the song becomes his mantra then he's got what it takes to triumph in the song of life.

Yup, it is a nice song to be singing all the time. It would be nice to hear it all the time too!

Hey Trish and Aly!

Barbiegirl made him listen to different versions of the song, including the Lauryn Hill/Sister Act rendition. He says that he still likes the original best :)

I'll see if I can find a way to record his singing and post it, because it's just too kiddie to resist! Years from now his voice won't have that same cracking innocence. I'll need an audio file converter for that so no promises for now.
