I must say, Marlon has turned me into an instant convert. Girlfriends, don't say that I didn't tell you about it. You really must try Olay Total Effects. It's been only 2 days and I'm totally sold.

You must buy it with the cleanser though. Marlon uses the serum as well, but I haven't gotten around to that yet. Right now I'm just too happy with my new facial cream.

And it has broad spectrum sunscreen too! :)

Tint

Yesterday I was blow-drying my hair and then I saw it: a white strand. That's the second in as many days. An occasional strand once in a blue moon is okay. But now it's quite possible that there might be more. It's hard for me to conceive of myself as having white hair.

I remember that when we were kids we used to pull out my mom's white strands and get 10 cents for each piece. Nowadays mom has a hairdresser visit once a month for her henna hair treatment. It's a natural-looking dye which makes her hair appear as if it has highlights. I wonder, will I be doing the same thing 30 years from now?

In my head I think that I am still young but that white strand begs to differ.

Omie to the rescue

Last Friday I was toying with the idea of asking Omie to do my make-up, but decided against it since the wedding was going to be so early. But what a sweetheart! She found out and told me to show up at her house anyway. So there I was at 6.30 am, sitting on a bar stool as she made me up. Her hubby just snoozed away on the mattress.

Got a lot of nice comments on the make-up too. When Teeny found who did it, she said, "She did you in the morning? She must be your friend." Yup, yup, and yup. I tell you no amount of pretzels can repay this kind of goodness.
